Introduction
For our client GKN Aerospace, we are looking for an Aircraft Fitter. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance and inspection of aircraft components and systems. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that all parts meet strict aviation standards and quality regulations.
Function
- Select and prepare all necessary parts for structural assembly.
- Clean and inspect tools and equipment before and after use.
- Ensure accurate documentation and coding of parts throughout the process.
- Assembly of complex metal structures to strict customer and aerospace standards.
- Perform visual and measurement checks to ensure the highest quality.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organized workplace.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvements and team initiatives.

Who are you
- A secondary vocational education in Mechanical Engineering, Metalworking or similar technical field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in aviation is a strong plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and assembly drawings.
- Proactive and accurate work attitude with an eye for quality.
- Willingness to work shifts.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
- Eager to learn, a true team player and focused on quality.
